A Naked Shakes Production of
“Much Ado About Nothing”
Directed by Irwin Appel
Sunday, Sept. 8 at 3 p.m.
At the Elings Park Godric Grove Amphitheater
“Much Ado About Nothing” is one of the most famous “rom-coms” of all time, with its budding romances, meddling villains, potential catastrophes, and witty banter between enemies-to-lovers Benedick and Beatrice. Award-winning UCSB ensemble Naked Shakes performs with minimal props and simple costumes to focus on the abilities of the actors and the brilliance of the Bard. Irwin Appel’s original production is filled with music, dance, and revelry, and includes a live jazz quintet.
“[A Naked Shakes production is] an unforgettable experience for those who are lucky enough to see it.” – SB Independent
